Stan recently was asked 5 questions by a fellow blogger and offered to keep the trend going to asking 5 of someone else, who also had to then answer and blog about it. So, since I'm searching for things to blog about these days, I thought I'd take him up on it. Annoyingly, I'm not able to copy and paste his questions, so I have to (GRRR!) re-type them into this composition, so it could take me days to actually get it done. Not because I'm that slow, but because I'm that easily distracted.
Here we go!
1) Where would you want to live that you haven't already, and why?
Well, this one's kinda hard, because there are lots of places I would love to visit, where I might just LOVE to live as well, but I don't know yet. So, that being said, I suppose I have to go with what I know right now.
From the places I've been to already, I would love to live in Hawaii, most likely Maui or Kauai, but wherever is fine. Why? Because I love the tropics and what they have to offer activity- and weather-wise, but don't really want to live on any of the other islands I've been to for one reason or another (mostly because they aren't U.S., and are quite 3rd world-y).
2) What is your favorite movie quote of all time, and why?
I am a female. Female's don't typically quote movies, or TV shows, or the like. That is SO a guy thing! Especially "Seinfeld", from the guys I've met in the last 5 years. So, the only thing I can think of is, "I'll have what she's having", from "When Harry Met Sally". I have also "quoted" the orgasm scene Meg Ryan makes in that movie, but I suppose that isn't really a movie quote, but it was funny to me.
3) What is the craziest thing you've ever done?
Well, I got married 2 months to the day after my first date with Kevin. If THAT isn't crazy, I don't know what is!! Our wedding was awesome, quickly planned and came off without a hitch. We eloped in Napa Valley wine country, and it was gorgeous, light-hearted and romantic. There have been days where I was like, "Whoa...what did I do?!", but I've never regretted that crazy thing I did, in marrying Kevin.
There have been plenty of other crazy things I've done, but this is probably deemed the craziest. Not very many people would do that, even if it felt right (like it did for us). It's just pretty risky! One that paid off for us, for certain.
4) What was the lowest point of your life, and how did you get through it?
There have certainly been a few, but most recently, I would have to say last year was very tough. Kevin and I had just gotten married (and of course knew each other for only 2 months) when my dad was so sick with cancer and treatments, Kevin's mom was also diagnosed with cancer and going through treatments, I had surgery on an ovarian cyst, then I had my skiing accident, Kevin was laid off, I had my knee surgery, Kevin started a new job, my dad got worse, etc, etc, etc. There were just so many things in such a short period of time (all this was within a 7 month time period), that it was overload. It has kind of continued even now, but things have obviously changed, since Kevin's mom is now in remission, my dad has died, and I'm dealing with pregnancy issues. Nobody has a "perfect" life, ever, so we bear that in mind very often.
How did I get through it? Took it day-by-day. Focused on the positive. Remembered that there were people much worse off than us. Were happy that our children were healthy, happy and well-adjusted. And, when it got to feeling somewhat stressful on our marriage, we didn't want that to falter, so we went to counseling. Best thing ever. It helped us to deal with everything in our lives so much better.
5) The hubby give you a pass to pick 5 guys you can have on your "wish list". Name them. Now you have to return the favor, so who would he have on his?
Funny, we've actually talked about this before. This is a hard one for me, because I'm not really into anyone in particular, for the most part. Oh, and Kevin is the same way, so...he doesn't have anyone on his either. He doesn't even know who the majority of "famous" women are, and hardly ever (only once!) makes comments about other women, other than, "Wow, has she ever had a lot of work done!". So I have no idea. I'll try though.
Me:
1) Kevin
2) Kevin
3) Kevin
4) John Travolta
5) George Clooney
Kevin:
1) ME!
2) ME!
3) ME!
4) ME!
5) Shania Twain
If he really thinks other women are beautiful, he doesn't mention it to me, so I have no clue! I kinda like it this way. :-)
Now, here are the rules if you want to keep this going. Place these after your questions/answers:
1.*Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me".*
2.*I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to choose the questions.*
3.*You will update your blog with the answers to the questions. That means, you must actually have a blog in order to participate.*
4.*You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.*
5.*When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.*
